For Employers
Workplace support for neurodivergent professionals
Retain brilliant people, reduce stress and put adjustments in place that actually work.
At Sage OT I partner with employers to support autistic, ADHD, and other neurodivergent colleagues, as well as staff experiencing mental health challenges. I also work with healthcare professionals in the NHS, and with teams in charities, social enterprises and larger corporations.
My approach is practical, neuro-affirming and rooted in lived experience. I know workplaces are under pressure and I focus on adjustments that make sense in real life, simple changes that protect energy, reduce absence and help people thrive at work.
Who this is for
HR, line managers, clinical leads and Wellbeing teams
NHS services, Public Sector organisations and universities
Charities, social enterprises, small organisations and corporates employers
Self-employed staff and neurodivergent business owners
Services
1) Workplace Strategy Coaching (Access to Work–eligible)
1:1 online sessions that draw on both my occupational therapy expertise and coaching skills. Each session is client-led and tailored to the individual’s needs, role and workplace; helping staff clarify goals, experiment with strategies and embed sustainable habits that last.
Typical focus areas:
Planning, prioritisation and task chunking
Communication adjustments to support email and meeting accessability.
Sensory and energy management (breaks, pacing, environments)
Boundaries, role clarity and workload negotiation
Masking/recovery, transitions and return-to-work confidence
Using tools effectively (calendars, task managers, templates)
Funding: Where eligible, Access to Work can fund coaching. I can provide quotes and session outlines to support applications. Organisations can also commission directly, costs dependent on the size of your organisation (see services page).
2) Functional Assessments & Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Health and Work Report
What is a functional assessment?
An OT-led functional assessment of the role demands and the person–environment fit, resulting in a fully evidenced clinical report with clear recommendations.
What’s included:
Role/activity analysis and barrier mapping (online interview + assessment)
Practical recommendations with clear implementation stratagies
Adjustment plan aligned to the Equality Act 2010
Optional 3 way meeting (employee–manager–OT) to agree implementation
Examples of adjustments:
Focused work blocks, meeting protocols (agenda, notes, camera-optional), quieter space or noise management, flexible start/finish, written follow-ups, clear role expectations, buddy check-ins and documentation templates.
What is an AHP health and work report?
A professional assessment that outlines how health or other factors affect work, with practical recommendations to support you, your employer, and your GP.
3) Stay-at-Work / Return-to-Work Planning
Structured plans that balance service needs with sustainable pacing, with review points and clear communication pathways.
