Mission, Vision & Values

Mission

At Sage OT, we create the kind of space where neurodivergent professionals, creatives, and students are met with care and understanding. We recognise that everyone's experience is unique and tailor our services accordingly.

Through neuro-affirming occupational therapy and coaching, we work in partnership with clients and other organisations, to develop ways that reduce unnecessary pressure and create clarity, balance and joy. We aim to contribute to the building of systems rooted in fairness, sustainability, and genuine human care.

The work we do is rooted in the neurodiversity paradigm, which understands neurodiversity as a natural expression of neurocognitive human difference, not a disorder to be treated.

Vision

Sage OT envisions a world where neurodivergent people are not just accommodated, but genuinely valued, able to thrive in communities, systems, and daily rhythms that honour their ways of being.

Values

Inclusivity · Humility · Aligned rhythms · Reflection · Lifelong learning

How these values shape our work

  • We design services that actively reflect neurodivergent needs and preferences.

  • We honour individual pace and rhythm, using clarity and collaboration to support a safe therapeutic relationship.

  • We prioritise depth over quick fixes, tailoring approaches rather than offering “off-the-peg” solutions.

  • We blend clinical expertise with lived and community knowledge, holding clients as the experts of their own experience.

  • We commit to continual learning, supervision and reflective practice from a wide range of sources.

  • We welcome honest feedback and remain open to change.

  • We recognise the places where we hold privilege and commit to ongoing learning about our unconscious biases, ensuring our work remains accountable, equitable and responsive for the people we work with.

  • We support ways of working that align with energy, capacity and nervous system needs,  for clients and for ourselves.
